ParkingLot

Parking was impossible at Highline before we got our parking lot. We lined the streets from First Avenue to Des Moines Way. In our Junior or Senior year a man offered us the use of a vacant lot across the street, and we did the work to make it into a parking lot. Mainly that was just clearing it. It stayed dirt.

here is what Ken remembered- the parking that occurred was not just for cars. There were some pretty steamed up windows at times from both cigarettes and heavy breathing, as well. I seem to remember students being prohibited from going over there at lunch time due to all the shenanigans going on. What a great faculty assignment that must have been: parking lot monitor.
